We are excited to announce that our collaboration with Chrysta Bell and David Lynch for the Night Ride music video has had it's world premiere on the aesthetically forward driven online music publication Pitchfork. From Wiki: "Pitchfork's opinions have gained increased cultural currency; some in the mainstream media view the site as a barometer of the independent music scene, and positive quotes from its reviews are increasingly used in press releases and affixed to the front of CDs/LPs. Pitchfork now receives an audience of more than 240,000 readers per day, and more than 1.5 million unique visitors per month, making it the most popular independent-focused music publication online". PANIC is very proud to be a contributor to this culturally significant publication.
Since the premiere, Night Ride garnered press from other taste making online outlets, and has been published via indiewire, Paper, StereoGum, Welcome to Twin Peaks, Dazed, imdb and Video Static. We also made it to publications all over the world the U.K.'s The Reprobate , France's Modzik, Ukraine's wetchina, and the Spanish ismorbo to list a few. From the inception of the concept, to delivery of the final cut to pitchfork, it has been one incredibly surreal ride. If you haven't already watched the video please hit the link and go on your own Night Ride.
"The goth pop gem features Lynch's characteristic woozy guitar reverbs, against Chrysta Bell's powerful, but distant vocals...Lynchian endeavors to hold us over till Twin Peaks returns to Showtime." - Papermag.com
