On 12.11.2018, PANIC had its worldwide release of Chrysta Bell’s 52 Hz music video on gizmodo’s io9 blog. Over the last decade, here at PANIC we have been a huge purveyor of io9 and are overwhelmed with pride to have partnered with them for this special online premiere. To celebrate, we wanted to share some behind the scenes pictures and take a moment to thank everyone that helped make this video possible.
We wish to give a huge thank you to Cheryl Eddie, the author and an editor at io9, for partnering with us on the release. When referencing this music video, we will forever we get to say, “as seen on io9” and there’s something about the ring of it that causes us to beam with pride. We would like to thank our core crew, Jon Mindes for producing this strangely arranged puzzle, Michael Revolvalcke for his director of photography wizardry, Tony Lew for his keen eye and camera operation, Mike Bobino for managing the studio and supervising sound, Juan Del Rio for filling in any holes like a master of all trades, Christopher Smart for working with us in post on sound, and Michael Del Rio for his beautiful behind the scenes photography (which can be seen below).
